DISCOVER BLUE CRUISE
“Nights in the southern regions are darker than other nights, and deeper. The stars seem near enough to reach out and touch.”
The Fisherman of Halicarnassus
The Blue Voyage was first dreamed-up by Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı (the Fisherman of Halicarnassus), a famous name from the world of Turkish literature. In the 1960s, he and a group of close friends made a journey by sea and called it the Blue Voyage. Throughout this journey, they only went ashore to visit ancient ruins. When it was time to return home, bewitched by the colours they had seen, and drunk from the smells of nature, they asked each other “ When are we going on the next Blue Voyage?”
A typical Blue Voyage includes: Bodrum, Black Island, Pabuç Burnu, Kargıcık Bükü, Orak Island, Alakışla Bükü, Çökertme, Ören (Keramos), Akbük, Gökova, Sedir Island, Karacasöğüt, Değirmen Bükü, Kargılı Koyu, Tuzla Koyu, Seven Islands, English Harbour, Gökçeler Bükü, Küçük Çatı, Körmen Harbour and Knidos.
